Creative Entrepreneurship Academy 2019:
Impact of festivals on the local economy

Creative Estonia, Creative Caucasus and Creative Georgia are inviting you to discuss the economic impact of festivals to the local economy.

When: 4th of April
Place: Rooms Hotel (Lolita seminar room)
Time: 11:00-17:00

The CEA program is designed for:
• Policy makers from national, regional and local governments;
• Local authorities
• Festival organizers
• Managers of creative incubators, start-up accelerators and development centers;
• Managers of creative hubs, quarters and clusters;
• Representatives of creative industry development organisations;
• Educators from universities and training institutions;

On one hand, creative professionals and businesses bring the culture to the local community and enhance the place branding by making the local life more attractive to the talents and keeping local inhabitants from moving away to the bigger cities.

On the other hand, cities and regions themselves benefit a great deal from supporting festivals as these are creating jobs and growth by hiring local companies and giving business opportunities to the local hotels, restaurants and shops.

The organizers of different festivals from Estonia and Georgia are going to speak about their mission, innovation at the festivals, desired and non-desired impacts and measuring the results. Additionally, experts will cover another aspects of festivals – branding, financing and service design.

CEA is a training session that is focusing on the relationship between creative economy and local development. The organizers of the CEA wish to create a platform of knowledge, sharing and learning.
CEA is a non-profit project supported by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
