"Digital Transformation" Project Team Members
The project “Digital Transformation” aims to identify key opportunities and challenges in the creative sector through research, raise awareness of digital platforms, tools, and trends, recognize the potential benefits of these trends, and more. In addition, the project aims to create new skills and opportunities for developing creative professionals and cultural organizations in the direction of digitalization.
The project is implemented by Creative Georgia, with financial support from UNESCO. The project team is represented by:
Project Manager, Cultural Manager and Cultural Heritage Researcher, Entrepreneurship Trainer and Mentor, Capacity Building Program Coordinator - Tinatin Baghashvili.
"Georgia's creative team is actively working on research and capacity building in the creative industries. The UNESCO-funded project "Digital Transformation" is a great opportunity to help various sectors in the process of transition, including raising awareness about digital transformation and mechanisms, sharing existing benefits, and helping our project participants develop relevant skills and increase their competence. Our team is pleased that UNESCO supports this initiative and together we are trying to create a better environment for the development of creative industries," - says Tinatin Bagashvili, project manager.
The project consultant, Associate Professor at Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Deputy Director of the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature - Maka Elbakidze.
"Today, when digital technologies have penetrated all areas of our lives, it is natural that the possession of digital tools and their proper use seems to me to be one of the important conditions for the success of an organization (as well as an individual). If an organization wants to increase its international visibility, it should undoubtedly present information about its functions, goals, and objectives in a digital format. This will help increase its target audience, disseminate information to a wider audience, strengthen communication, and actively engage in international projects." - says Maka Elbakidze, project consultant.
Local researcher, Doctor of Cultural Studies - Ketevan Epadze. “Within the framework of the project, I studied the process of forming the “digital identity” of Georgia’s creative industries, including museums. This concept describes the adaptation of the creative sphere to the ever-changing era of modern technologies, which, according to experts in the field of culture, is the only way to survive in the digital era and continue the creative process. The digitization of creative businesses simplifies communication, promotes the rapid and large-scale dissemination of information, attracts interested parties and customers, strengthens the author’s concept, and allows for reflection in various media,” - says Ketevan Epadze, a local researcher.
International researcher, cultural manager, and archaeologist, PhD student - Tekla Balogh Bodor (Hungary). "Digital transformation is happening in all sectors, including creative industries. I think this challenge should be interesting for creative professionals because digital transformation can bring a lot of good." - says Tekla Balog Bodor, an international researcher.
The project trainer, a certified trainer in technological education, developer, designer, and founder of the Georgian innovation platform "Doer" - Tornike Ramazashvili. “Today, digital transformation is gaining great importance in Georgia, as it accelerates the innovative development of business and the public sector, increases the availability of services, and simplifies the life of society. Across the country, the introduction of digital technologies contributes to faster and more efficient services, which is especially important in the areas of services, education, healthcare, finance, and other areas.” - says Tonrike Ramazashvili, the project trainer.
The project trainer, and media communications professional - Nini Samkharadze. “Digital technologies ensure rapid acquisition and dissemination of information, unhindered communication. The use of technologies in the field of culture and art provides an effective opportunity to share creative ideas and news with a wide audience, and I think the project “Digital Transformation” is the best start in terms of integrating the unemployed into the creative industries.” - says Nini Samkharadze, the project trainer.
