Capacity Building Training
“Digital Transformation” aims to increase access to digitalization and develop relevant skills for cultural organizations. The project is implemented by Creative Georgia and funded by UNESCO.
The initiative's activities were implemented throughout 2024, including the development of a research document "Digital Transformation in the Creative Sector of Georgia: Key Challenges and Opportunities", as well as the development of a "Digital Transformation Guide for Cultural Organizations" based on the research findings, and other activities.
Within the framework of the project, on November 7 and 8, 2024, in the village of Variani, capacity-building trainings were held in the space of the Iakob Gogebashvili House Museum. The goal of the event was to raise awareness of digitalization among the participants and develop relevant skills. Over two days, the participants were introduced to the research document, as well as the basics of media literacy, communications, and digitalization tools, and acquired practical knowledge about creating a website (using technology without writing code). The training was led by Tornike Ramazashvili, a certified trainer in technological education, developer, designer, and founder of the Georgian innovation platform "Doer", and Nini Samkharadze, a media communications professional.
At the event, the website of the Iakob Gogebashvili House Museum was created in Georgian and English, on the free platform - wix.com. The texts and structure to be placed on the site were developed, emphasizing not only the history and significance of the museum but also Gogebashvili's literary and national contribution, including the fight against Russification and the integration of pedagogical techniques, as well as Jakob's role in the activities of the society spreading literacy among Georgians.
